1. Acceptance of these terms

BodyOS (“the Service”) is a personal nutrition planning and logging application. By creating an account or using the Service you agree to these Terms & Conditions and to the Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. Nature of the Service

BodyOS is a personal project operated by an individual, not a company. It is provided free of charge for personal, non-commercial use. Access may be limited, modified, suspended, or discontinued at any time without notice.

3. Not medical advice

The Service provides meal planning, cooking instructions, nutrition estimates, and trend-based suggestions. This content is for informational and planning purposes only. It is not medical, dietary, or health advice, and it is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease or condition. Always consult a qualified healthcare or registered dietetics professional before making significant changes to your diet or exercise, especially if you have a medical condition, are pregnant, or have a history of disordered eating. Nutrition values in the Service are estimates and may be inaccurate.

4. Your account and responsibilities

You agree to:

• provide accurate account information and keep your credentials secure;
• use the Service only for lawful, personal purposes;
• not attempt to access other users’ data, probe or disrupt the Service, or reverse-engineer it beyond what applicable law permits;
• exercise your own judgment when following any cooking instructions — including safe food handling and recommended internal temperatures.

5. Third-party services and wearables

The Service can optionally connect to third-party services you authorize, such as WHOOP (recovery, sleep, and workout data) and the USDA FoodData Central food database. Your use of those services is governed by their own terms and privacy policies. Connecting WHOOP is voluntary, uses read-only access, and can be revoked at any time from the Service’s settings or from your WHOOP account. BodyOS is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by WHOOP, the USDA, or any other third party mentioned in the app.

6. Your content

You retain all rights to the data you enter (logs, weights, recipes, check-ins). You grant the Service only the limited right to store and process that data in order to operate its features for you, as described in the Privacy Policy. Recipes imported from the web retain attribution to their source.

7. Disclaimer of warranties

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or uninterrupted availability. Data loss, downtime, and calculation errors are possible.

8. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the operator of the Service shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or exemplary damages — including health outcomes, injury, data loss, or lost profits — arising from your use of, or inability to use, the Service. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount you paid to use the Service (which is zero).

9. Termination

You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time; deletion removes your data as described in the Privacy Policy. Access may be suspended or terminated for accounts that violate these terms or abuse the Service.

10. Changes to these terms

These terms may be updated from time to time. The effective date above will change when they do, and continued use of the Service after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
