Help with BodyOS

Support

BodyOS is built and run by one person. Email philwilson244@gmail.com with anything at all — bugs, questions, a feature you wish existed. Most messages get a reply within a couple of days.

Your account

How do I delete my account?

In the app, go to Settings → Delete account. Type your email address to confirm, and the account is erased immediately along with everything in it — logs, plans, weigh-ins and photos.

There is no undo and no backup to restore from, so export anything you want to keep first.

I forgot my password.

Use the reset link on the sign-in screen. If the email does not arrive within a few minutes, check your spam folder, then email philwilson244@gmail.com and it can be reset manually.

Can I get a copy of my data?

Yes — email philwilson244@gmail.com from the address on the account and you will get an export of everything BodyOS holds about you.

Notifications

Reminders are not arriving.

Three things to check, in this order:

  1. Settings → Notifications in BodyOS — the reminders you want must be switched on.
  2. Your phone's Settings → BodyOS → Notifications — iOS asks permission once, and a decline is remembered.
  3. Focus modes and Do Not Disturb, which hold notifications back silently.

Reminders fire on a schedule tied to your wake, workout and sleep times, so check those are right under Settings → Daily schedule.

Logging and the camera

The barcode scanner shows a black screen.

That is a denied camera permission rather than a fault. Open your phone's Settings → BodyOS and switch Camera on.

Barcodes on shiny or crumpled packaging can be hard to read — you can always type the digits underneath the barcode instead.

A food is not in the database.

Search covers a large public food database plus packaged products, but it will not have everything. Add it by hand from the Log screen, or save it as a custom food so it is one tap next time.

Voice logging is missing or does nothing.

Voice needs microphone and speech-recognition permission — both under Settings → BodyOS on your phone.

It also needs a recent version of the app. If the option is not showing at all, update BodyOS from the App Store.

Plans and numbers

My calorie or protein targets look wrong.

Every target is editable under Settings → Nutrition targets. BodyOS suggests changes in the weekly review but never applies them on its own — nothing changes unless you approve it.

My weight jumped overnight.

Day-to-day weight moves with water, salt and timing. That is why the 7-day average is the headline number everywhere in BodyOS, and the single-day figure is deliberately quiet. Weigh in at the same time each morning and watch the average.

I ate something that was not in the plan.

Log it. Unplanned food is data, not failure — BodyOS will tell you what is left for the day and carry on. Nothing is penalised and no workout is added as punishment.

Still stuck

Email philwilson244@gmail.com. Including your phone model, whether you were in the app or a web browser, and roughly when it happened makes it much faster to track down.

A note on health

BodyOS provides planning recommendations. It is not intended to diagnose, treat, or replace professional medical or dietary care. Speak to a doctor or dietitian before making significant changes, particularly if you have a medical condition or a history of disordered eating.
